The Lost Experience Has Begun

May 3rd, 2006

Picture 2.png

Well the world of LOST is heating up as we go into the last stretch of the season. Our friends in the UK started Season 2 of LOST, and they got the first clue in the new Lost Experience Game. Given a number during a “Fake” commercial for The Hanso Foundation. The number, among many things, led to the password “breakingstrain”. When you use the password to log into the newsletter section you get “access” to a lot of clues.

You can check out the discussion taking place in the Lost Experience section of our forums.

Jacksloststepkid has set up a section of our wiki to keep an overview of the clues that have been found. It now features a summary of what has been found since the clue on yesterdays UK Premier (thanks NctrnlBst). This is going to be the definitive place for all of the clues that are going to be found during Lost Experience Game. You can check out this section of the wiki by clicking here.

With the return of LOST for the U.S. viewers tonight, lets keep an eye out for our first clue for The Lost Experience. I am guessing it will be in a similar ad during one of the comercial breaks.

On a side note, Colin from AndFound.com is making some killer looking buttons. You should notice our “Vote for Us at Podcast Alley” button. Your votes have currently put us in the top 100, so thank you everybody that has voted.

All right everybody enjoy the new LOST ep tonight, and Jack and I look forward to talking to you tomorrow.

Jay and Jack can now be Mobilized

April 23rd, 2006

You may have noticed a new button on the sidebar that says “mobilize the latest episode”. Well with a new system by VoiceIndigo.com You can now listen to our show and many others on your Internet, and Audio Enabled Cell Phone. Now I am not a cell phone savy person, but as I understand it when you click that button and punch in you cell phone number, your cell phone will be updated on the latest podcast. I have it set up on the MP3 feed to save space and time downloading. Here is a list provided by the site of the compatible cell phones.

Symbian Phones Supported:

Nokia 3230
Nokia 3600, 3620, 3650, 3660
Nokia 6600

Probably works on these Symbian Phones as well:

Now I dont have any of those cell phones, but if you have one try it out and see how it works. For more info click Here. Oh and it is free!

P.S.: Thank You everybody that has given us such a great response to our first vidcast. We will talk about it more on tomorrows show, but your feedback was awesome. Oh and there will be more vidcasts to come 😉

Some Technical Difficulties….

April 5th, 2006

Hey just to let everyone know we had some technical difficulties last night that pushed back the recording a couple hours. So I won’t have enough time to post it up by the usual 2-3am eastern. Instead the show will be up at 7-8am eastern. Sorry for those who like it really early, but I need a little sleep before work tomorrow morning 😉

Thanks

Jay

The Hidden Blast Door Map

March 31st, 2006

Since there has been an explosion of discussion on the Hidden Blast Door Map from “Lockdown” I decided to put pics up of the best ones around and link you to the sites.

The pic above is a awesome illustration by Colin of AndFound.com. You can see a bigger version by clicking here

This next one is from Sledgeweb’s Lost It has translations of the latin found in the text. Click Here

Cassie aka Zack Attack Jr, who has been studying latin, sent in an email discussing how she had her own take on the translations:

I went through all of the Latin Text and found basically the same translations as the ones on this website http://lost.cubit.net . But I also found a couple of things they didn’t mention and i kind of disagreed with one of their translations. So here’s what I came up with:

Sursum Corda- Uplift your heart. (with this one the website said that it was to god in parenthesis but i was thinking it didn’t necessarily have to be to god i mean you could just like get happy or something. moving right along)

Aegrescit Medendo- The remedy is worse than the disease.

Malum consilium quod mutari non potest- It is a bad/evil plan which we do not have the power to change.

Cogisto ergo doleo – I think over, therefore, I grieve.

Nil actum reputa si quid superest agendum- Do not consider an old job done if there is still more to be done.

Ut sit magna tamen certe lenta ira deorum est- The wrath downwards is large but surely is slowly. (the translation on the website says it is the wrath of the gods but I personally think that it isn’t necessarily the gods but maybe just a higher power or something that was really scary to whoever made this map , the others??)

Mus uni non fidit antro- A mouse does not rely on one hole.

Liberte te es inferis- Save yourself from below. (yet again the translations on the website say that below really means hell but how do you know its not the bunker they’re talking about cause, i mean, it’s below too, right?)

Hic sunt dracoons- Here are dragons/demons.

Credo nos in flucto eodem esse- I believe we are on the same wave/wavelength.

This last one is from TheTailSection.com. It is a pretty clean illustration of the Map with most of the text easily printed out. Click Here

So those are the some of ones that people have sent in to me so far. Expect a big portion of the next Lost in Review segment devoted to The Map.

Jay and Jack Crack Top 100!

March 31st, 2006

Hey a quick note, I was checking iTunes this morning and saw our show was on the iTunes Top 100 Podcast for all categories.

Jack and I wanted to say thanks to everyone that listens to us two bitter, handsome, sexy, jealous, old, young and grateful Lost Junkies, without you there wouldn’t be a Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack.

Thanks.

PS: I am working on posting some of the best pics and translations of the map on the blast door. I should have the post up by the end of today.

We Made it to 30!

March 1st, 2006

Ralph has informed us that our next podcast after tonights new LOST episode will be our 30th episode of the podcast. I don’t know if we should have a party or not, but we will say thank you to all the listeners that made getting to 30 possible. So thank you everybody and here is to another 30, and then another, and then another.

Oh and a quick note, I was looking on iTunes and I saw that our show made the “New and Notable” section right next to the LPN. Since were not new I guess were notable, so sweet.

Enjoy the new episode tonight everybody, because its the last that we will have for a couple weeks.
