according to the official lost “podcast”, michael giacchino’s name is pronounced Gee-Uh-Key-No.

that’s the way i’ve been saying it. i am sure you can it any way you want, and if you say it with enough confidence, no one should bother you about it.

  2. On the Libby lying topic, I don’t think it was a mistake. Like HJ said, Walt saw Hurley come on the plane all sweaty and wearing his headphones. Since we know there is a mole on the island it wouldn’t be that far fetched that Libby is relaying information with the ‘others’. Im assuming the ‘others’ would be getting all of there detailed info from Walt or from the information the black cloud gathers. Although there really isn’t any proof that Libby is with the ‘others’, besides the fact that we know she is hiding something.

  3. ralph says:

was it Artz that mention not to say anything to the “fat guy” if you want to keep a secret?

hurley is the gossip on the island. and if libby were a mole, than hurley would be the guy to go to for info.

  4. “hurley is the gossip on the island. and if libby were a mole, than hurley would be the guy to go to for info.”

Exactly, im not sure she has talked much with Hurley yet.

  5. Tim The J says:

I’d just like to point out a neat little thing:
Everyone seemed to notice the Pink Floyd/ Animals album cover reference. But did you know that during the shooting of the album cover, the giant inflatable pig tethered to one of the chimneys broke away and floated away directly through flight paths at Heathrow airport?! A disruption to flights, definitely – maybe the Hurley bird got in the way of 815?

  6. lostpodcast says:

That is a good point about Hurley, I just dont see Libby being an other though. It seems like a stretch, but hey its LOST.

    Jay

  7. ralph says:

it’s funny that you say stretch, jay. the show, with the exception of the munster, really does not stray that far from a possible logical explaination, yet the theories are usually way out there! what if, in the end, everything in lost gets explained logically and all these wild theories are destroyed by normal mundane explainations? it reminds me of bible school, and not to get all “churchie” on you guys. but i remember that there are 2 points of views concearning the bible. A literal and non literal. those who view the events of the bible as excact representatoins of what happened in the past. and the non literal, who see the bible as 300 or so years of oral tradition, that, when finally put onto paper, had the stories embellished, in order to keep a clear message. I love lost, i don’t belive in the supernatural, but i love how much supernatural talk is going on, as far as the show is concearned, when we really never seen conclusive evidence of the supernatural. You can go ahead and call me a doubting thomas, or Dr. Jack Shepard. regardless, keep up the theories, i think that they awesome!

  9. Q says:

Just a thought…We know that Locke and Charlie are at odds. Some also think that Locke is going to the dark side. Charlie undoubtedly went off the deep end last episode. I don’t know if he was having dreams, or hallucinations.

In the first season Locke gave Boone a hallucinogen without him knowing. What would have stopped him from giving one to Charlie? Seems like an easy tool to use if he wanted to.

  10. Gillian says:

    I…I don’t see the beach craft! : (

  11. ralph says:

look at the palm tree in the center, from there to the left, along the tree line, you can see the outline of the beach craft. it is easier to see on the show

  12. Wesh says:

There’s people talking about a black bird being in Charlie’s dream sequence, but that’s just a shadow right? Seriously, to me it just looks like a shadow, and i think they did it that way, just to show that it was actually a painting or a card board painting used as background and to stress the fact that Charlie’s kinda caught in a painting.

  13. Rob says:

Hey guys, love your podcast and noticed something about the sign on the building with the smoke stacks from Fire & Water. People, as you guys have said, have come to the consenses that the sign says “(unreadable) CONSTRUCTION”. To me it seems that the sign says something like “Under Construction”. I say this for three reasons. One because its something that would be on a sign of a building. Two because the sign seems to say something like that. And three it makes an eirie kind of sense to the show. Just thought I would add my two cents. Love the show and cant wait to listen to the next show.

PS: I agree with Jack, the Libby thing is probably just something similar to the hatch door, a simple production error.

PPS: I think the phone number on the poster is: “620 – 3090 193” Now that I write that out it seems very awkward but after going back and checking the picture the number is definatly in that grouping, its a black block of sorts then three numbers, space, four numbers, space, three numbers, and then finaly, another block.

PPPS: Jack you sound way to young to be HJ’s father. Hehehe.

  14. Rob says:

Whoops Got your guys names mixed up, my bad. I’ve only started listening since the new AAC format! But your show rocks!

  15. Ryan says:

Dude. YOU ARE SOOOO WRONG about your so called spoiler/prediction…

    Seattle will win the Superbowl!

  16. Kiwi says:

Isn’t Libby a psychologist? Maybe she met/saw Hurley when he was in the hospital?

  17. jorin says:

Basically the plane in the trees mean Ecko is coming in to save the day. The fact that he is in the background means he is underestimated. Not to bring up the religious angle, but Moses was underestimated. After all, per the crator’s ” of all the characters Ecko is the closest to his “destiny.” ”

I think Locke is the mystery cast member who wants off the island/ show. Wht else can explain his turn about after the encounter with “mr. friendly”

Nobody puts baby in the corner!

  18. chapsternac says:

I really believe there is going to be a big duel ( battle) between Locke and Eko, One worthy of wrestlemania. Good job J + J! your show has really grown on me, like a fungus I can’t get rid of you two, I must have my jj itch scratched. a litener in chapel hill. Look forward to listening.

    Hey Jay and Jack,
I love your podcast and I am thrilled that you switched to aac since I am soon getting a new ipod. It will be so cool to actually see the screencaps while I´m riding the subway to work, listening to your show. But as for now I listen to it on itunes, and I think I didn`t get any pictures with the last show. I wonder if anyone else has been experiencing the same thing.

Anyways, thank you for keeping me sane during the six week hiatus, for that I will always be yours faithfully:
