The Lost Experience Has Begun

Picture 2.png

Well the world of LOST is heating up as we go into the last stretch of the season. Our friends in the UK started Season 2 of LOST, and they got the first clue in the new Lost Experience Game. Given a number during a “Fake” commercial for The Hanso Foundation. The number, among many things, led to the password “breakingstrain”. When you use the password to log into the newsletter section you get “access” to a lot of clues.

You can check out the discussion taking place in the Lost Experience section of our forums.

Jacksloststepkid has set up a section of our wiki to keep an overview of the clues that have been found. It now features a summary of what has been found since the clue on yesterdays UK Premier (thanks NctrnlBst). This is going to be the definitive place for all of the clues that are going to be found during Lost Experience Game. You can check out this section of the wiki by clicking here.

With the return of LOST for the U.S. viewers tonight, lets keep an eye out for our first clue for The Lost Experience. I am guessing it will be in a similar ad during one of the comercial breaks.

On a side note, Colin from AndFound.com is making some killer looking buttons. You should notice our “Vote for Us at Podcast Alley” button. Your votes have currently put us in the top 100, so thank you everybody that has voted.

All right everybody enjoy the new LOST ep tonight, and Jack and I look forward to talking to you tomorrow.

  4. Shelley in OKC says:

Oh my gosh, I’ve just begun to check out the Hanso site. I just logged in for the newsletter and it’s freaky!!! You have to supply a username, then enter a password. I entered the one Jay listed in the posting. While you are doing this the web page is doing weird things, kind of like someone is erasing or scribbling on it. Then this main frame style print starts to show up on top of the web page like the computer in the hatch. The type is from someone named Persephone. Then after a couple of lines about being logged in and checking back later it logs out and then the screen flashes with a picture of an orangutan that quickly turns mean looking a shows its teeth and disappears.

I’ve hit my screen print real quick and caught the “nice orangutan” and the “mean orangutan”. I will send these to Jay in case someone else wants to see them. I don’t have any kind of internet photo storage place.

Joop man, no crazy ass 105 year old monkey man, its insane guys, it like got pissed at me and yelled n stuff man, scary stuff.

  7. Crystal says:

You can put the same password (“breaking strain”) in Joop’s Corner, under “Leave Joop A Message.” After clicking on endless circles, It brings up letters that were on the old Hanso Foundation website, with Persephone making a remark upon them.

  8. Rusty says:

Well, I got a chat from persephone. I don’t know where you guys are getting this monkey stuff.

Thought this might be useful for some who don’t know

Persephone is the goddess of the underworld in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, goddess of the harvest. Persephone was such a beautiful young woman that everyone loved her, even Hades wanted her for himself. One day, when she was collecting flowers on the plain of Enna, the earth suddenly opened and Hades rose up from the gap and abducted her. None but Zeus, and the all-seeing sun, Helios, had noticed it.

Broken-hearted, Demeter wandered the earth, looking for her daughter until Helios revealed what had happened. Demeter was so angry that she withdrew herself in loneliness, and the earth ceased to be fertile. Knowing this could not continue much longer, Zeus sent Hermes down to Hades to make him release Persephone. Hades grudgingly agreed, but before she went back he gave Persephone a pomegranate (or the seeds of a pomegranate, according to some sources). When she later ate of it, it bound her to underworld forever and she had to stay there one-third of the year. The other months she stayed with her mother. When Persephone was in Hades, Demeter refused to let anything grow and winter began. This myth is a symbol of the budding and dying of nature. In the Eleusinian mysteries, this happening was celebrated in honor of Demeter and Persephone, who was known in this cult as Kore.

    The Romans called her Proserpine.

Too bad I can not see the website. For some reason it never loads.

    Anyone else having this problem?

  11. James says:

After sitting for about 10 minutes with the Hanso Foundation website in another Firefox tab, I heard a static noise, returning to the tab as it was the only one that could have made that sound, I saw that above the date to the right of the logo was the word OB:EY

I’ve not been able to get it to show up again; it may be random and show once per session or something.

  12. James says:

Never mind; didn’t realize that’s where people got the link to http://www.sublymonal.com/ from.

  13. James says:

For those who haven’t found it (I didn’t find it when using the search for this podcast): typing ‘heir apparent’ into Dr. Thomas Werner Mittelwerk’s random-ass form thing on his page leads somewhere weird as well. And typing it in the newsletter page shows the angry orangutan thing again..
